Martyr Charlie Kirk

Today, Charlie Kirk finally went home.
At just 31 years old, his earthly race ended in violence. But for Charlie, it didn’t end in despair—it ended in victory. Because the place he strived for, the place he lived and fought and spoke for, was never the spotlight of a stage or the freedom of a microphone. It was home with Jesus.
Charlie loved his Savior, and he never hid that love. He also believed with his whole heart in the power of free speech and open dialogue. He built his life around conversations—sometimes with those who cheered him on, and sometimes with those who challenged or opposed him. And in the end, he died doing what he loved: engaging in the great American tradition of speaking truth, debating openly, and refusing to back down from dialogue.
As I reflect on his life, I believe he has now heard the words every follower of Christ longs for: “Well done, good and faithful servant… enter into the joy of your Lord” (Matthew 25:23).
This is our hope as believers—that death does not silence the truth, and evil does not have the last word. Jesus does. And because of the cross, Charlie’s story doesn’t end in tragedy—it continues in glory.
May we honor his life not only by remembering his passion, but by carrying forward his courage: to speak truth in love (Ephesians 4:15), to defend freedom with conviction, and to fix our eyes on the eternal prize.
Charlie is finally home. And for that, we praise the name of Jesus.
